A: ZIRKEL fiberWave Internet is a new, unlimited Internet service provided by ZIRKEL that delivers speeds up to 1Gbp. We use fiber-fed Terragraph wireless mesh technology to connect homes, businesses, and multi-unit dwellings such as condos or hotels with faster and affordable, high-speed Internet. Unlike fiber and cable, Terragraph is deployed wirelessly (over the air) and connects via a small rooftop-mounted radio.

A: ZIRKEL fiberWave Internet is launching in various neighborhoods across Routt and Moffat Counties. After our initial launch in the neighborhood surrounding our Steamboat Springs location at Kamar Plaza, we will next deploy to those areas who have expressed the most interest. A: The installation for ZIRKEL fiberWave Internet is done in three steps and may take up to 2 hours.
- Exterior Installation: Installation begins by mounting a small radio to the rooftop of your home/building. (~1 hour)
- Interior Installation: Once the radio is installed, our technician will install interior wiring to connect the radio to the modem/router. This step requires access inside your home. (~30 minutes)
- Network Configuration: Lastly, our team will set up your network, provide instructions for connecting your devices and will be available to answer any additional questions. (~30 minutes)
A: The radios are about the size of a cell phone or a large dinner plate depending on the type of radio installed (WxHxD) V1000: 5.5 in x 3.3 in x 1.6 in or V5000: 11 in x 7.3 in x 4 in and is installed on the fascia of your home/building.
A: Yes, as with all ZIRKEL Internet plans, there is a $49 installation fee.
A: Yes! Our multi-node mesh network allows for built-in signal rerouting to ensure high availability and reliability. Simply put, the more neighbors that have ZIRKEL fiberWave Internet, the more reliable your connection will be.

A: ZIRKEL fiberWave Internet is a prepaid product. This means when you sign up for service, you will be required to provide a payment method. This payment method will be charged once service is installed and will be charged once a month following your installation date.

A: Terragraph technology connects buildings with high-speed internet using street-level mmWave radios. These radios create a wireless distribution network that is easily scaled as demand grows.
A: All commercial deployments of Terragraph technology are owned and operated by network operators and service providers. Facebook does not have access to or collect data from these commercial deployments.
